Tick - Customizable To-Do, Reminders, Sync App Reviews

This app was great...until it started self-deleting my lists. The first time I lost 8 lists with information I needed a year from now. But gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it might be a fluke. Nope. I went to check my app this morning - gone again. I give up. This app was a waste of money. Dont buy it unless you want to be frustrated every time you open the app to find your lists have evaporated. Needless to say, I strongly DONT recommend it.

Really need to ability to sort to-do’s by date. If you use the Reminders app on OS X and you only set a day (and not time) all of the items will show up out of order in the Tick app. I like the way it looks, but without a sort feature, it’s pretty useless to me. Also, the notification badges don’t seem to show up unless you have a time set for the event...

Cant Figure out how to change the fonts yet

I was really enjoying this app until I realized there is no way to view a single list of scheduled items from all lists. This is a must-have feature for me.

looks great, I love it. However, after using it for weeks, I found a few bugs which really annoy me!

Ive waited three months to update to feel confident the problems would be fixed. Now my lists are duplicating, items are disappearing and duplicating within lists, and Im really upset. Its not worth having the app ask you if you want to delete a list if its going to be so glitchy, you have to answer just about every time you open it. Like the colors and simplicity but wish I hadnt updated.

This app is definitely better than the built-in reminders app, and it certainly looks cleaner and more fun. But it severely lacks location-based reminders, and wont even sync location info with said reminders (created from Siri or Reminders). Definitely a bit of a deal breaker for me, as location-based reminders are the most amazing thing ever.

Has potential, it needs to have a way to display all list. It also should have better sorting capabilities

The way this application syncs with iphone reminders is completely obtuse. Ive had so many instances of lists duplicating/deleting that I have no desire to use it anymore. Yet the settings and options make no mention of this, so I cant diagnose whats going on. Ive just gone back to the default notes app since this one is no longer simple nor predictable.

I like this a lot. it is simple to use and very customizable. The only thing I can’t figure out is how to get it to appear on my iMac so I can add to my list from my desktop computer.

This app seemed perfect until I realized that the developer completely left out the “Notes” field that is in the default Reminders app. This is huge lapse of usability for me so, thus, the 2 star rating.

This app looked promising but its very buggy and keeps duplicating my lists so the ones Im looking for are difficult to find. I wish I could get my money back on this one. Do yourself a favor and download the app called Up Next.

This app is exactly what I needed. Extreemly easy to use. I customized the lists (in fun colored boxes that you can move around) to have categories for morning, work day, and evening, as I wanted to track items for different times of day and see them all in one place. I usually find task management tools more effort than benefit, and boring actually, but this app makes it enjoyable to look at the lists and use them. This tool has exceeded my expectations so far. I havent tried syncing it yet. Using it on iPhone 5.

Incredibly buggy and also negatively affected my native reminders app even after I deleted this one. Duplicates lists not just once or twice but dozens of times over.

I rarely write app reviews, so the fact I’m doing so on this one means either I love it or I hate it. In this case, I love this app! Here are my reasons: 1. It syncs seamlessly. Unlike others who have had duplication problems, I’ve never once had a problem. I must mention that it syncs with Apple’s Reminders app via iCloud. Having used Dropbox- and Google-based task apps, this one is seamless. The Dropbox and Google ones would have weird errors, but I’ve never once had an error with Tick. 2. Gestures. There are gestures all throughout the app, meaning there aren’t buttons for everything. While some might not like that aspect, I personally love it. 3. Customization. Colors, list icons, and even fonts are all customizable. And maybe I’m just imagining things, but the colors seem to sync with iOS 7- and 8-based colors for the Reminders app. 4. Animation. When you complete a task and go back out to your lists, each icon does a little animation to show you’ve completed a task! My only complaint is that there isn’t an iPad version of this. I generally don’t buy apps unless proven worthy by many others, but this gamble was well worth it. I use this app every day and enjoy doing so. Apple needs to take many cues from this app and integrate it into their own Reminders app.

Only thing missing (which is missing from Clear as well) is confirm deleting items. Ive been told by the developer hes working on correcting that. Great integration with iOS default app,

I have had many todo lists apps because Im very picky and I have to say this one is my favorite! PLZ make this available to ipad:(

Dont bother downloading. It makes itself seem extremely easy to use and convenient but it is confusing and bothersome. It does not make me want to be productive at all because I am too frustrated with trying to make it even somewhat useful.

This app crashes as soon as I try to scroll down in iOS9. Useless. Hasn’t been updated in more than a year. Don’t waste your money until it gets fixed.

This is such a good app as the user gets to make his own coloured category complete with an icon. I have used it for years but after the ios9 update it now crashes when I try to scroll. It is an important tool and I hope that it is updated soon.
